COVID-19 Newborn Sessions
To say that our lives have changed in a significant way over the past 6 months, is to say nothing. I don’t think there is a single industry that hasn’t been affected by the corona virus. Photography is not an exclusion. It’s no wonder that your family health is your primary concern no matter what area you consider. Wether you make a decision about school attendance, going out, or picking your family and newborn photographer, corona virus is probably on your mind. And rightfully so.
Here are the adjustments and precautions we made at Hudzen Photography, to ensure safe and secure environment for you and your loved ones.
- For all the photoshoots (regardless of COVID-19 actually), I disinfect all the surfaces in my home studio (including the floors). All the props are properly washed after each use.
- I wear a mask during the photography session, and I ask that parents wear their masks while not being photographed, as well. I wash my hands or use hand sanitizer several times during the session. If you’d like, I can wear disposable gloves when handling your newborn baby. Just let me know ahead of time.
- If it makes you feel safer, your newborn or baby milestones session can be held at your house. There are certain limitations that come with that (such as the number of props and lights that I could bring with me), but it’s definitely an option for you. And, given the circumstances, the location doesn’t have to be decided at the time of booking, you can decide closer to your due date or even after the baby is born.
- If the photoshoot can’t take place at the agreed upon time due to COVID-19 (e.g. mandated quarantine, any symptoms, or you just don’t feel safe doing the session any more), it can be postponed for as long as needed, or even cancelled at no charge, if appropriate.
I hope, these adjustments make you feel more comfortable at this uncomfortable time. We take your health seriously.
This newborn photoshoot took place at the client’s home, as parents felt safer there! And their gorgeous baby girl did a wonderful job at her first modeling gig 🙂
