1. Choose the right time.
Choose a time when the shop is not too crowded. This will give you more space to work with and make it easier to get the shots you want, while avoiding getting random people in the background. If you have little kids, they would also be less agitated and more relaxed if the cafe is not swarming with visitors. Spring or fall time work great, in summer – week days are the best time for the ice cream family photoshoot.
2. Wear the right colors.
With the bright and airy ice cream shop atmosphere, wearing darker or overly deep colors may look out of place and clash with the soft tones of the creamery’s decor.
